Overview
The course aims to introduce the various types of neurological braces on the market and illustrate the various steps that lead up to making a custom neurological brace.
Starting with a clinical description of the patients, the orthopaedic technician will then deliver these braces, observing the clinical indications and functional assessment.
During the practical part, participants will be able to try out the various braces provided.
Goals
- Be aware of the various types of existing braces
- Understand the course of prescription for neurological braces
- Identify the most suitable neurological brace for each patient
- Know the various stages in the production of a custom neurological brace
- Deal with patient assessment with spasticity and subsequent delivery of a brace
