An important news that consolidates once again the partnership with Karma On The Road

Gruppo Humantech and Karma On The Road announce the important news and once again affirm their partnership. The Group’s headquarters at Torre De’ Roveri (BG) has become the point of reference of prosthetic collection to support Ride your life – Ghana 2023, the project tha seeks to raise awareness about sustainability and the liberation of people with disabilities.

The initiative consists of a symbolic trip on a moped to reach the Orthopedic Training Center in Ghana, Africa, with the goal of delivering the devices collected to those who need them. “In Italy, the reuse and readaptation of aid devices is not covered by the Institutions because prosthetics are considered custom medical devices: in other words, they become “trash” when they are no longer used“, explain Giulia and Luca. “In reality, a part from those that are invasive, that are redon taking a new cast of the person’s stump, the rest of the components are completely reusable: hands, feet, arms, stems, buttons, titanium hooks, etc. These mechanical parts are highly resistant, as well as expensive and, seeing the great need for these devices in less-developed nations, we believed it was our duty to pursue the cause“.

For this reason, Gruppo Humantech decided to support its Ambassadors in this important project of solidarity, helping to promote the social inclusion of those who live with difficulties, caused by an amputation, to take back their life.
