On Friday, March 10th, 2023, the Humantech Group headquarters in Torre De’ Roveri hosted the CME course “Postural systems: from standard to customised”.
Mr. M. Ceretti, Scientific CME Manager and Head of the Aids Division, Dr. F. Santangelo, Orthopaedic Technician, and Dr. M.T. Hernandez, Occupational Therapist, acquainted attendees with the various types of posture system available on the market, which are customisable, and their applications. In addition, real-life case studies and their solutions were presented to go into more detail on this important topic.
In the first part of the programme, course participants learnt about the various existing posture systems, the materials used to make them, and the available accessories that can be applied to meet personal needs.
The workshop considered real cases to explore the components of posture systems, the positions of patients in their seats, and the various technical modifications that can be applied in order to take targeted action to maintain a correct posture.
