We are proud to announce our participation in STAND, an international solidarity project created to give a second life to used prostheses and prosthetic components. This is a concrete initiative that transforms devices that are no longer used into valuable aid for people living in developing countries, where access to adequate prosthetic solutions is often impossible. Participating is simple, but it means a great deal: by donating a prosthesis that you no longer use, together we can restore independence, dignity and hope to those who, far away from us, face the challenges of disability every day in difficult conditions.
To support the project, we are organising a dedicated collection event on 5 December 2025, from 10:30 to 12:00, at our headquarters in Via Guglielmo Marconi 9 in Torre de’ Roveri (BG). Those who are unable to attend the event can still deliver their prosthesis to one of our stores. Every contribution, large or small, is a fundamental step towards creating new opportunities for mobility and inclusion for people who would otherwise not have access to them.
STAND is also supported in Italy by Viviana, a young quadriplegic who has chosen to dedicate her experience and personal journey to helping others by becoming the project’s patron. Her story, full of courage, determination and the desire to overcome limitations, invites us to look beyond difficulties and believe in the power of solidarity. The initiative is made even stronger thanks to the support of the Rotary Club Milano Aquileia, which has chosen to accompany us on this journey with enthusiasm and a spirit of service. Their participation demonstrates how collaboration between different entities can generate an even broader and more significant impact.
Our membership of STAND is a concrete gesture of social responsibility and a tangible way to contribute to the well-being of the most vulnerable people. We are convinced that collaboration and sharing are powerful tools for generating change. That is why we invite everyone to join us and spread the word about the initiative: because even a simple object, when donated generously, can truly change a life.
