“If you too can take yourself apart…, we are looking for you!”
With these words Karma On The Road presents the initiative “I’m Listening to You”, a series of meetings to share stories, experiences, approaches and solutions to life without limbs, in collaboration with the Humantech Group.
The first meeting was held on Saturday, February 18th, from 10:30 to 13:30 at the Torre De’ Roveri headquarters at Via Guglielmo Marconi, 9. It is a project created to share and listen to stories and experiences, and to help people pursue their dreams despite difficulties, as did Luca and Giulia of Karma On The Road, a passionate couple full of determination.
“I’m listening was born out of the need for a confrontation between people without limbs”, explain the two founders of Karma On The Road. “On our journey, we have met men and women without limbs who perform activities that others in the same condition are not aware they can do, or unfortunately do not know how to do. That is why the meeting has precisely this title: it will be a moment of mutual listening, interaction, exchange, and discussion on how to perform sports and everyday activities with the support of a prosthesis. We are convinced that everyone can benefit from listening to the experience of others.”
An orthopaedic technician and physiotherapist with expertise in prosthetics were also at the event to learn about and explore solutions to living without limbs.
